My Fargo Take

Increasingly escalating avoidable circumstances that lead to hilariously violent scenes. The film has a subtle point of showing how money leads people to do evil things, by showing characters getting into awful situations because of it.

The small town atmosphere is brilliant, every place feels lived in and is filled with personality. The characters are brilliantly drawn. William H. Macy perfectly plays Jerry Lundegaard a weasel of a man who is a slimy businessman who will do anything for money. Frances Mcdormand also perfectly plays Marge Gunderson who is an overwhelmingly positive women who tries to see the best in people. This creates funny situations, because even while she is dealing with horrible crime, she sticks with her positive attitude. Of course Steve Buscemi is great as always.

The deliberate awkward acting of certain actors creates memorable characters that could have been not memorable in a worse film.

this film is a classic, I recommend you check it out!
